Introducing Google Analytics 4 to Oviond

Google Analytics is one of the most widely used digital marketing tools. It is a great SEO tool that is used to analyze and monitor the behavior of users on a website and where the users are coming from. Google Analytics 4 is a new property offered on Google Analytics, offering new metrics and reports.

Google Analytics 4 (GA4) is the next generation of Google Analytics. It is a new kind of property that has different reports than what we are used to seeing in the Universal Analytics (UA) properties. A huge advantage of the GA4 property is that it can be used for websites and apps, whereas the Universal Analytics properties only support websites.

GA4 tracks users based on events, rather than sessions. This allows Google to track what users are doing more accurately and emphasize what they are actually doing on the website or app. Data from GA4 can be visualized in dashboards and reports on Oviond.

Connecting Google Analytics 4 On Oviond

Google Analytics 4 connects to Oviond using your Google account login details (email address and password). This authentication only needs to be done once per Google account. Google Analytics 4 has a completely different API to Google Analytics UA, therefore, they exist as separate integrations on Oviond and authorization will need to be done for each.

We have a comprehensive help center article that will answer all questions around the authorization, permissions, and limitations for Google Analytics 4.
